Plan wholesale on what sold, not on what was ordered.
An order is the account's option until its cancel date. What shoppers actually bought, by door and by week, is the fact. Tightly takes each account's own weekly sell-out, lands it on that account's channel, and grades that account's styles from its own shelves.
| Category | Plan | ML forecast | Var | |

| Accessories | $0.90m | $0.88m | −2% | $72k |
What breaks when the only signal is the order.
Three steps from their weekly file to a grade that names its doors.
Five conventions, asked once per account
There is no default, because every default is wrong for about half of all accounts. One writes an explicit zero for a product that did not sell; another leaves the row out. An import for an account with nothing declared is refused.
You name the account, never the file
Nothing in a retailer's export reliably says who sent it, and a wrong guess files one account's sell-through under another's name and looks normal on every screen afterwards. The preview counts what would land before anything is written.
That account's styles, and nobody else's
The rows re-grade the styles at the account that sent them. Under every grade is the word it stands on: measured from their own doors, borrowed from look-alikes at that same account, or the brand's own analog with no grade word at all.
Bramble & Co has not reported for 3 weeks.
A blank week is a week nobody sent. It is never read as nothing sold.

Names the account that has gone quietest and chases the weekly file, so the shelf you are planning against is the one that exists. Within the limits you set.

The wholesale plan you run today, and the one Tightly grades.
You know what each account ordered. A booked line is their option until the cancel date, so an order is not yet a fact, and it never says what a shopper did.
The account’s own weekly sell-out, by door, landing on that account’s channel and grading that account’s styles from its own shelves.
Connect is one part of the connected plan.
Demand forecasting
Sell-out is a stream fed to the same engine. There is no second forecast for wholesale.
Assortment planning
The grade proposes the take on the showroom, per account, before the book is agreed.
The connected plan
The account's channel carries its sell-out, so wholesale and direct read the same model.
Does Tightly pull data out of our accounts' systems?
No. Tightly fetches nothing and asks nobody. A person at the account sends the weekly file, by email, upload or EDI, or their buyer sends it from their own seat in Tightly.
What happens to an account that will never report?
Read its book as sell-in only and type the plan in. The grade will say From the brand or Sell-in only rather than borrow a Winner from someone else's doors, which is the one thing we will not do.
Is this a separate wholesale forecast?
No. Sell-out lands on that account's channel and feeds the same engine that runs everything else. There is no second brain for wholesale, and no separate number to reconcile.
What does a blank week mean?
That the account did not report it. Tightly does not know whether nothing sold or nothing was sent, so it says Not reported rather than guessing. Nothing sold is a different word, and it means the account wrote a measured zero.
Which plan does this need?
Connect is part of Tightly Pro.
Plan on the shelf, not the order. See a grade that names the doors it read.
