Work you do every week can run without you.
A skill is written with Ask Tightly in a conversation and then runs on its own. Every one starts by telling you and writing nothing, and climbs only as far as its own evidence has earned. It drops back the moment that evidence turns.

What breaks when automation is a switch with two settings.
Automation is a switch, and neither setting is right
Off means a person does the same job every week. On means it runs unsupervised and you find out afterwards whether that was wise. There is nothing in between, so the switch stays off on everything that matters.
Nothing tells you how often it was right
No eval count, no fire rate, no record of the times it should have acted and did not. Trust has to be a feeling, so it never arrives.
The same work, every Monday, forever
Chasing the quiet account, re-forecasting after a stockout, drafting the week eight markdown. All of it is a pattern, and none of it gets easier the twentieth time.
An agent that can do anything can break anything
Give it write access and a cancelled order is one bad inference away. So nobody gives it write access, and the agent stays a chat window.
Three steps from a conversation to work that runs without you.
Describe the job in a conversation
Ask Tightly drafts the skill from what you tell it, or you start from one of ours. It can also offer you one: a pattern it has seen in your own actions, with how confident it is and whether it tested the idea against your history.
It tells you, and writes nothing
On the bottom rung the skill sends its reasoning and every act stays with a person. You are reading its judgement, not living with its consequences, and that is the point of starting there.
It climbs as far as the evidence takes it
The gates are on its page, the press is yours, and the drop back is automatic. An irreversible write parks for a person at every rung, so the top of the ladder is still not a blank cheque.
One decision is waiting on you. Everything else ran inside its limits.
Below 90% a skill is marked under-triggering. A skill cannot be published until its evals pass, and it drops a rung on its own when the evidence turns.
What changes once the work runs itself.
It starts by telling you, and writing nothing
Every skill is born on the bottom rung. It sends you the reasoning and every act stays with a person, so the first thing you learn is whether its judgement is any good before it is allowed to act on it.
A rung is earned, never granted
The gates a version has to pass are on the skill's own page, and the move up is a person's press once they are open. Nobody can hand a skill more authority than its evidence supports.
Demotion is automatic
When the evidence turns, the skill drops a rung on its own. You do not have to be watching for the week it starts being wrong.
An irreversible write always parks
At every rung, including the top one. A cancel, a markdown, anything that cannot be undone waits for a person, and that is not a setting somebody can switch off.
Proven, in a number you can read
Each skill carries its eval count and the share of events it actually fired on. Below ninety per cent it is marked under-triggering, and it cannot be published at all until the evals pass.
Ask Tightly writes them
Describe the job in a conversation and it drafts the skill. It also notices patterns in your own actions and offers to write those, saying how confident it is and whether it tested the idea against your history.

The automation you were offered, and the ladder Tightly runs.
Two settings, and neither is the one you want. Off means a person does it every week. On means it runs and you find out afterwards whether that was wise.
Nothing says how often it was right, so the switch stays off on everything that matters.
Four rungs, and a skill starts on the first one. Each move up is earned against its own evidence and pressed by a person, and it drops back on its own when the evidence turns.
Proven 15 of 16, fired on 96% of its events.
An irreversible write still parks for a person, at every rung.
Skills are one part of the connected plan.
Connect
Chasing the account that has gone quiet is a job that should not need a person every week.
Finance
A skill can read the cash gate and tell you the week that breaks, before you ask.
The connected plan
A skill writes through the same permissions and the same approvals queue as a person.
Can a skill place an order or cancel one?
It can draft either. Anything that cannot be undone parks for a person at every rung, including the top, and that is not a setting. Reversible writes are what a skill is eventually allowed to do on its own.
How does a skill earn a promotion?
Against its own evidence. The gates a version has to pass are shown on its page, and once they are open the move is a person's press. Nothing grants a rung, and the drop back down is automatic when the evidence turns.
Where does it get the idea from?
You describe the job in a conversation with Ask Tightly, or start from one of ours. It will also offer you one it noticed in your own actions in Tightly, with how confident it is and whether it tested the idea against your history.
What if it stops firing?
The list marks it. Every skill carries the share of events it actually fired on, and below ninety per cent it reads as under-triggering, because a skill that quietly stops is worse than one that fails loudly.
Which plan does this need?
Skills are part of Tightly Essentials and above. Lite has Ask Tightly on ten fixed charts.
Earned, not switched on. See a skill climb the ladder on its own evidence.
