Zapier × Tightly

About Zapier

Zapier is a no-code automation platform that connects 8,000+ apps so events in one tool can trigger actions in another. It supports multi-step workflows, conditional logic via Paths, and reusable “Sub-Zaps,” letting teams automate processes without engineering time.

How Tightly works with Zapier

Step 1 — Connect & pick your signals

Authorize Zapier and choose the Tightly triggers you want to expose (e.g., Projected stockout, PO created/updated, Receipt posted, Backorder opened/updated, Supplier confirmation received).

Step 2 — Map actions in your other apps

Build Zaps that react to Tightly events—e.g., post a Slack alert, create a Jira/Asana task, add a row in Google Sheets, notify Zendesk, or update fields in your IMS/ERP.

Step 3 — (Optionally) write back to Tightly

Use Tightly actions to perform tasks from Zapier—e.g., Create PO draft, Update PO ETA, Create event uplift, Adjust backorder cap, Attach supplier quote—keeping ops and finance in sync.

Key features for Zapier users

  1. Connect to 8,000+ apps — CRMs, help desks, ad platforms, sheets/BI, ERPs, and more.

  2. Conditional workflows with Paths — route high-risk SKUs to a different approval flow or stakeholder set.

  3. Two-way updates — send Tightly events out, then push decisions back (e.g., approve PO, update promised date).

  4. Human-in-the-loop steps — pause a Zap for manager approval on large buys, then resume automatically.

  5. Error handling & audits — view Zap runs alongside Tightly’s activity log so issues are traceable end-to-end.

  6. Quick starts — templates for “Project stockout → Slack + task,” “PO change → Sheets log,” “Late inbound → Zendesk ticket.”
